Happy Birthday Thoughts

By God’s grace, I’ve made it one more trip around the sun.

Last night while thinking about life, family, my birthday, and God, I remembered Jeremiah’s words to Baruch in Jeremiah 45, one phrase in particular…

“…do you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not…” (Vs. 5)

Baruch was about to have his whole world turned upside down, and the gift he was about to receive from God was not a title, fame, or wealth: It was life, his survival through the tribulation.

The older I get, the more I come to understand that humility is a key to unlock true fulfillment & happiness in life. Salvation, life, comes from God alone.

Enjoy each day. Don’t worry about titles, fortune, or popularity - focus on doing right, helping others, and honoring Jesus.

Your personal brand is not your personal identity - we find it in Jesus. Instead of seeking great things for me, I’m reminded on this 44th birthday, to seek Him. He can & will be found.
